We met at Pinkerton Park last Wednesday in Franklin. Our last appointment was rained out so we opted for this time instead boy are we glad we did! The weather was absolutely amazing. JR and Kayce were a blast to work with. Not only were they fun loving and smiled alot, they were a joy to photograph. We hiked through the park then ended up on the swing set. Here are a couple of pictures from the day.
This was an amazing engagement session with a bunch of firsts. For instance, this is the first engagement session I've seen the ground pulsing -- groundhog burrowing, a bunny run across the bride-to-be's foot, and finding a large black snake in some tall grass. Even with all the run ins with mother nature's creatures, the pictures truly reflect Brandy and TH's love for each other. I can't wait for the May 16th wedding!
My mother has really been going all out lately-- especially in terms of her kicking it up a notch with her culinary skill. This past Sunday she put together an amazing meal, not to mention enough food for an army! Some of the honorable mentions were the chicken -- extremely moist and spectacular flavors, the corn casserole -- always a favorite, and lastly the home made strawberry shortcakes with a dollop of freshly whipped cream -- sorry no pictures of that one.
I hope that everyone had a wonderful Easter with their friends and family. Until next year...
This weekend was Brocade Design Art's open house at her new location at 28 Arcade in downtown Nashville. Everyone came out to wish her luck and sample some wonderful food and cocktails. Here are a couple of pictures from the amazing event.
People not only couldnt stop commenting on these flowers but couldn't believe they were real-- Icelandic poppies.
Last weekend, I was graciously asked by Brian Kaplan of Brian Kaplan Photography to ride along to Memphis to shoot an engagement session for Sid and G. Sid is from India and G (Gokben) is from Turkey. She introduced herself but I just couldnt get the pronuciation down so she told me to just call her G. There were a ton of fun places to shoot in downtown Memphis. Everyone had a blast.
After the shoot, we went back to Sid and G's place where low and behold her mom was making authentic Turkish cuisine. This included stuffed grape leaves--etli yaprak dolmasi, a yogurt drink--ayran, and lastly lahmacun-- a Turkish-style pizza. Now I'll have to try that Turkish resturant on White Bridge Road.
This was another one of those freezing engagement sessions. The weather this year has been all over the place. Literally 3 days before we met up, it was in the 60's but then plummeted into the 30's. But we persevered and their love was very evident. They even decided to bring along their 2 cute little pups! Check out the full gallery .
This past Sunday was the Perfect Wedding Guide Bridal Show at The Frist. I had a booth with Hillary Robson of Brocade Design Arts. She did all the flower arrangements in and around my booth. For this show, I setup a backdrop and Hillary made some arrangements that gave the setting a very spring-foresty look and feel.
I want to thank all of the brides who stopped by and said hi and allowed me to take their picture. I cant wait to hear from you! The pictures are complete and in a gallery for your viewing pleasure-- link. Please take a look and enjoy!
